Privacy Policy

In providing the UR Vacancy Checker (the "Service"), the operator complies with laws related to the protection of personal information of users and handles personal information appropriately in accordance with this Policy.

The Japanese version of this Policy is the authoritative one. If a translation is provided, the Japanese version shall prevail in case of any discrepancy in interpretation.

Article 1 (Information Collected)

The Service collects the following information for the provision of the Service.

  • Information obtained through Google authentication (email address, name, profile image URL)
  • Information registered by the user within the Service (search conditions, notification email address, and other information entered by the user)
  • Inquiries, feedback, reports, and other communications sent by the user to the operator
  • Information automatically collected when accessing the Service (IP address, user agent, referrer, access date and time, operation logs, etc.)
  • Information stored in cookies and local storage

Article 2 (Purposes of Use)

The collected information is used for the following purposes.

  • Authentication of users and the provision and operation of the Service
  • Sending notification emails based on registered search conditions
  • Maintenance and improvement of the Service and development of new features
  • Detection, prevention, and response to unauthorized access, misuse, and other improper acts
  • Investigation and response to violations of the Terms of Service
  • Responding to user inquiries, feedback, etc.
  • Creation and analysis of usage statistics (including use after processing into a form that does not identify individuals)
  • Sending important notices regarding the Service
  • Compliance with laws and responses to requests from authorities, courts, etc.
  • Handling disputes and complaints, and asserting or defending legal claims
  • Other purposes incidental or related to the above

Article 3 (Provision to Third Parties)

The operator does not provide personal information to third parties without the user's consent, except in the following cases.

  • When required by law
  • When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of a person, and obtaining the person's consent is difficult
  • When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children, and obtaining the person's consent is difficult
  • When cooperation is required for a national or local government agency or a person commissioned by them in the performance of duties prescribed by law
  • When personal information is transferred to a successor in the event of business succession due to merger, business transfer, or other reasons

Article 4 (Outsourcing and Use of External Services)

  • The operator may outsource operations such as authentication, hosting, database, email delivery, and access analysis to external service providers in providing the Service. These providers may be entrusted to handle personal information to the extent necessary for performing their duties.
  • The handling of personal information by each external service shall be in accordance with the privacy policy established by that service.
  • The operator selects and supervises subcontractors within reasonable bounds, but except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the operator, shall not be liable for damages incurred by users due to acts or omissions of subcontractors.

Article 5 (Provision to Third Parties Located in Foreign Countries)

  • For the provision of the Service, the operator may store or have personal information handled by cloud service providers located in foreign countries (as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other related laws), and as a result, the user's personal information may be transferred to a foreign country.
  • An overview of the personal information protection regime in such destination countries and measures taken at the destination will be provided separately upon request via the contact form posted in the footer of the Service.

Article 6 (Management of Personal Information)

The operator takes reasonable security measures to prevent the leakage, loss, or damage of personal information collected. However, the operator does not fully guarantee the security of information transmitted over the Internet, and shall not be liable for leakage, loss, or damage of information caused by reasons not attributable to the operator's intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 7 (Disclosure, Correction, and Deletion of Personal Information)

  • Users can review and delete their personal information through the settings screen and the "Delete Account" feature of the Service.
  • For requests for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use by methods other than the above, please contact us via the inquiry form posted in the footer of the Service. The operator will respond within reasonable bounds after completing necessary procedures such as identity verification in accordance with the law.
  • Even if a request for deletion of personal information is made, the operator may retain such information to the extent necessary for the operator's business operations or as required by law.
  • If a request does not meet legal requirements, places an undue burden on the operator's business, or may infringe on the rights of other users or third parties, the operator may refuse or limit its response to such request.

Article 8 (Use of Cookies, etc.)

The Service may use browser cookies or local storage to maintain login status, analyze usage, and provide other services. Users can disable these through their browser settings, but doing so may result in some features of the Service being unavailable.

Article 9 (Eligibility and Age)

  • The Service is primarily provided to users aged 18 or older residing in Japan.
  • If a person under 18 uses the Service, they shall do so with the consent of a parent, guardian, or other legal representative. By using the Service, such consent is deemed to have been obtained.

Article 10 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)

The contents of this Policy may be changed without individual notice to users. The revised Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on the Service.

Article 11 (Inquiries and Disclosure of Operator Information)

  • Inquiries regarding this Policy and the handling of personal information should be made via the inquiry form posted in the footer of the Service.
  • The name, address, and other operator information of the Service will be promptly provided via the inquiry form upon request from the user, after completing necessary procedures such as identity verification, in accordance with Article 32, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
